How does the Agency assists the investor?
South Marmara Development Agency assists the investors through Balikesir and Canakkale Investment Support Offices (ISO). Acting as ‘sole solution points’, ISOs take up the role of easing the investment processes and procedures for investors.
In summary, ISOs offer following services:
- Providing useful information to investors about the province by conducting analyses and creating inventory, report and strategy works on province’s business and investment environment.
- Informing the investors on scope and application conditions of state incentives.
- Providing detailed information on the Ministry of Industry and Technology incentives, application conditions, intermediate and completion surveys and receiving the applications.
- Guiding the investors eager to familiarize themselves with the investment environment and make field visits.
- Providing information regarding (public, private, OIZ) lands suitable for investments.
- Following the permit and licence processes of the investors.
- Communicating the investors problems and demands to the related authorities in order to improve the investment environment.
